Kobo Books App Reviews

Since the IOS update or the KOBO update, the Kobo app does not work on my IPad. My library is now empty. I called Kobo customer service but the were not able to correct the problem. What is the solution?

I enjoyed the previous version of the kobo app - not enjoying all the previews that now appear in my library. Had my books all organized and since the update its all over the place...also my bookmarks dont save between the app and e-reader now...kobo help were quick to respond but seems to be an ongoing issue unless you completely close and re-open the app

This one is slow to open, crashes often and the books are more expensive here. I do not recommend this app

Give us back the old app! This new update is terrible, very disorganized. Had to redo all my library as it marked all my books as unread even the ones that I had read before. Hate the way it looks and hard to go through my books. I have lost over 700 books and have no idea where they went. Hope this gets fixed. Very unhappy with this new version. Have always loved kobo until now

I love using the kobo app dont and wont use any other reading app. A++

Not impressed with update. I liked how I was able to separate my purchased books from previews previously. Do not like how they are all combined together now. Please reverse to previous arrangement!

Love reading my books. So glad I can take them anywhere now. App is easy to use, font settings are great. Love the night mode.

The recent update is very hard to manage and I am now avoiding it. My library is a mess. I had it clearly defined to what I have and have not read by bookmarks and downloads. None downloaded and ready to go if I am out without wifi. A new bought book doesnt pop up as new and now have to search for where it went. Absolutely hate this update!

I upgraded my iPad with the latest iOS upgrade and now the font size wont work. You need a magnifying glass to see even the largest size. Its like the option to enlarge the font doesnt work, it just increases the space between the lines I did the upgrade the week of sept 26, 2016. Also cant find my library and books I bought are missing. Very frustrating, very hard to use the app on the iPad. And now even having trouble sending this review!!

I am not a fan of the new update. My books are all over the place, not in order the way I want them to be. Also I wish Kobo had the scrolling view like iBooks does. Much better than turning pages. I dont buy as many books here anymore as I do on iBooks. Kobo needs to get a better app so we can personalize our library better for ourselves not the way they want us to.

I do no like the removal of bookshelves from the app. I have over 700 books and greatly dislike having to browse my library in list format. The new layout for books wastes visual real estate and therefore wastes my time and enjoyment of the app. The home page has become an extreme opposite to the library. The book covers are way larger than they need to be, yet it still creates the exact same problem as the library: slow viewing of your books, slowing down the ability to choose your next read. Being annoyed with my app makes me less likely to read on it.

I used to be able to choose my library and it would show my recent purchases and what I have not read. Now all of a sudden all of my books show as unread. I choose unread filter and it does not bring up all my unread books and I have no idea what theyd are unless I write down all of my new purchases. Very upset and annoyed. Will definitely be looking for a different company to purchase my books!!

Used to love this app, since the update its changed the layout, I cant find all my books and my collections are gone. Very frustrating. Dont use this app anymore

It doesnt sync, it doesnt download, it messed up my library, every time I use something else doesnt work, give me back the previous version

I have loved this app for years, use it constantly. But the new update is making life difficult - especially since I can now only search previews on my phone, and those previews give me no option to buy. I have to go online separately to the Kobo store to buy, and delete the original preview manually. I am on the apple platform. If this is fixed, I plan to move my app rate by back up to five.

I enjoy reading the books I download but I do have one issue. How do I get rid of the items that say you have finished reading "_______". It takes too much space on my screen. Should totally get rid of this feature!

Broken app. Updated, restarted, restarted phone too, still this app keeps closing every 2-30 seconds or so.

Very disappointed with the new update. My collection was wiped out; I have previews that I never downloaded before; the preview collection option is no longer available; my collection has limits of how many books... so many little things that changed but takes away what made it a great app.

Good app for kobo books, wish it was better at marking pages to come back to and use on different platforms. I find its not efficient in switching from desktop to mobile or vice versa.
